Godwoman disrespects the Indian Flag

A national flag is a representative of the hopes and aspirations of a country. The Indian National flag being no different, is symbolic of our national pride. I suppose they did not know that there is a Flag code which needs to be adhered too.

Its a well-known fact that we are a country full of Gods and Godmen. Their influence over people is legendary and they have them in awe. But here devotion seems to have gone overboard

Our Deepest Respect to our National Flag

We Sahaja Yogis have the highest and deepest respect for our National Flag, which is the symbol of our National Freedom. Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi participated actively in the Quit India Movement. Her father Shri P K Salve was imprisoned by the British because he participated actively in Mahatma Gandhiji’s Freedom movement. It is inconceivable that any member of Shri Mataji’s family would tolerate even the slightest disrespect to our National Flag.

Possibly, at an Independence Day function held abroad, some foreigner Sahaja Yogi brought our Flag and without meaning any disrespect, kept it on the ground. The Flag was respectfully removed immediately on being noticed.

Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi asks us all to respect National Flags of all countries.

This unintended but serious mistake is greatly regretted. Not even the slightest disrespect to our National Flag will ever be tolerated.

To all those whose feelings have been hurt by this wholly unintended and unfortunate error, we express the assurance that we fully share their anguish and we extend our deeply felt and sincerest regrets and unqualified apologies.

How are you so sure that image is not doctored. My question is who took this picture and when? Does the person who gave you this image known to you? Did you copy it from some other web site without checking its authenticity?
aarkey

Do you mean NDTV isn't authentic enough a source? And pray why, anyone in the name of the Lord, would take pains enough to doctor a photograph and target "Her Holiness Mataji"?

If She is not being targetted Ms Iyer then why would anyone post such pictures without understanding what it is about. There is more to it than meets the eye.

Hi All,

My family(except me) are all Sahajayogis and they are like KATTAR believers of Nirmala Devi. I somehow feel that SY is a brainwashing technique. I see how everything in my life-my family's life is related to SY and Nirmala devi. This lady sounds like a mad women to me. If you hear her speeches and see her Poojas(what the devotees offer her like 15 times a year). She is being worshipped on like Navratri, diwali, ganesh chaturthi, guru purnima, her b'day and may be another 6-7 festivals in a year. She calls herself God and leads a lavish life which I dont believe any of the saints or god have lead. I'm absolutely against her principles.
But talking about the fact now-She has too many crazy followers around the world. You shud check her website and they blindly follow her. When I asked my family abt the flag incident they just cut me out by saying those pics are fake and it is just to defame her. But i wonder no one has taken any legal action against her. I believe she should be scandalised and punished for calling herself God(Adi Shakti or whtsoever) and insulting our national flag and all the devotees who say by putting a flag on her feet they were asking her to bless the country should also be punished.

it's a shame. Shame on all who still respect her and call her "Maa"... I suggest let everyone stop calling her "Maa" and call her Maa#@$%&)d instead

We Are T20 World Champions!! ....really?

Am overjoyed and as happy as every other cricket loving Indian at India winning the T20 worldcup. It was a nail biting finish and I whooped in joy as the tricolour was paraded proudly around the ground..but all the same it seemed too good to be true. A creepy thought passed my mind - Is this all true or is it part of an elaborate scripted show put up for our benefit? It was like a bad thought or dream that nobody wants to think about but it keeps recurring. Maybe I am just going bonkers. Voice in my head - heck, isn't it too much of a coincidence that the final would have to be between India & Pakistan?...Especially after the world cup debacle, cricket took the biggest beating ever in its Indian history. It was almost on the verge of dying a slow death, sponsors pulling out support , public support was lost. Me - What the hell, it was a great game. Played in front of millions. Voice in my head - Forgot the earlier match fixing tales?. After the world cup fiasco the very foun...

Malayalam vs Tamil Cinema

Having been homebound for sometime now and with enough clutter in the TV channels, watching movies suddenly has became very appealing. But I have to confess that am no longer in the rampant watch-any-movie age where I could digest anything from a Saajan to a Hero No 1 but clearly not also yet there to enjoy a Satyajit Ray or Pedro Almodvar movie.Anyways its regional cinema that I am talking here. All this movie watching started with me giving company to my mom and she restricts her staple of movies to only Tamil and Malayalam films. After a point of time comparison was just bound to follow... Best things first - Malayalam films are quite a revelation. From being funny, melancholic, enchanting, tragic, uplifting to plainly being entertaining the range and depth of malayalam films has simply awed me. And am not even talking here of the well-known, superhit mad capers of Mohanlal or Mamooty that the outside world knows of. Let me confess I dont even understand the language completely....

Why Do We Sink This Low?

Let me tell you a very interesting albeit true story. There is large family whose one son is not very happy with the life they lead and wants to earn big bucks. So he goes and finds a job with a rich family who treat him like dirt but our guy is happy making his moolah. One day the rich family accuses him of a heinous crime and almost persecute him. The guy's family back home stands by him and goes all out to get him freed. After raising a lot of dust they manage to free him and get him back home. The father and neighbours go all out to make him feel comfortable and even go ahead and promise him a job. You think the story ends on a happy note here? No. The boy goes begging back to the rich family to adopt him since he has been proved innocent. The rich snooty family looks at him like he is some loony (which I have no doubt of) and simply throws him out. You must be thinking, "Who could ever be such a moron?" Well, we are. Atleast it looks like we are being ruled by some....
